Hello! Here is a list of our favorite venues within and near OKC. Some things that we look for in a venue include natural lighting, the color of the walls, enough space for guests, and good amenities. I included venues from all different budgets as well to hopefully find the best venue for you! We have also included the photos or video we have shot at each of these venues so you can easily see if a venue will be a good fit for what you are looking for. We would love to capture your wedding at any of these venues!
8. Rose Briar (Oklahoma City)
Rose Briar is also a fantastic pick if you are looking to be closer to the OKC area. The backyard has multiple separate sections that all serve a unique purpose. The deck opens up to the reception space creating a unique open area to dance the night away on those beautiful summer nights. You will also be blown away at the reception space at night, where their tall trees are wrapped with lights that give it a magical feeling. The ceremony space during the day is also beautiful, surrounded by those tall trees giving it that hidden away intimate feeling. Sectioned off by large wooden doors that can be closed while the bride is walking down and opened to reveal her to everyone all at once. Rose Briar is also home to a beautiful willow tree out front, one of my favorite backdrops for photos. See here the video we have shot at Rose Briar.
7. The Springs (Norman)
The springs are very well known and a popular pick, but I want to note that the springs in Norman are my favorite pick out of their locations in Oklahoma. Their other locations, while still beautiful and have some of the best landscaping I’ve seen, have wood paneling all inside of their walls, while still a beautiful indoor venue, this does produce a slight orange hue on the skin in pictures. For this reason I love the Norman location as the wooden aesthetic is broken up by beautiful white rocks on the inside of the venue. This provides a unique look while lightening that orange tone just enough. With this rock interior it quickly became one of my favorite venues to shoot at, and is actually the location of my favorite wedding I have shot to date, pictured below. I also have close friends who were married at the springs and noted that they have some of the best amenities they could find and loved the experience of hosting their wedding at The Springs, something that I have found to be true for all of their locations.
6. Clauren Ridge (Edmond)
Escape to Italy in Oklahoma! I loved this venue for its unique style and feeling like you are escaping to elope in a vineyard far away. The reception space is in the basement in a wine cellar, with a very low lit, intimate feeling. The vineyard was the perfect area for photos as well and if you walk a little further you find yourself upon a large lake that is also a perfect backdrop for photos. I think what sets itself apart the most though is the reception area. This is the perfect spot for those looking for that calm low lit aesthetic.
5. Beloved Weddings and Event Center (Fletcher)
I may be slightly biased towards this venue (as this is where my husband and I got married) but that's ok right? It deserves all the credit I give it. It holds an open reception space with the ability to be turned into ceremony space as well with the right planning. It has a beautiful backyard with a large altar built in for you to decorate for the ceremony. A treeline at the back gives it a beautiful landscape in the summer when in full bloom. The fence also allows for an intimate feeling like you all are the only ones around. We also love the front entrance for photos and the gate out front as well. There are photo opportunities everywhere you look! This is also a very affordable option for those on a budget with their weekday and Sunday pricing able to fit into almost any budget! See for yourself why we love this venue!
4. Sparrow Beginnings (Stillwater)
This venue is perfect for those who have a lot of friends and family. A large reception space with plenty of parking for all of your guests ensures a comfortable space for everyone to celebrate along with you. You will also be shocked at the massive ceilings and beautiful staircase leading into their indoor ceremony/reception space. As soon as I entered I was blown away. They also have an outdoor reception space looking over rolling hills in their backyard. My favorite aspect of their outdoor reception space is the winding trail used to get to it. This ensures that you can not see the bride exiting the venue on her way to the aisle, but gives everyone that “wow” moment when she arrives through the trail.
3. Willow Creek Mansion (Broken Arrow)
I don’t know a better word to describe Willow Creek Mansion other than “Charm”. This venue is a dream for those looking for a charming small venue for their wedding. The wall in the backyard was my favorite feature in the venue. A large white wall covered in vines with beautiful architecture creating a perfect backdrop for photos. The indoor space is also beautiful with tall ceilings, white walls, and big windows. I loved this space nestled away in the broken arrow area.
2. Daffodil hill (Bethany)
Daffodil Hill Is my favorites for smaller weddings. The landscaping is intentionally picked with a quaint and quiet feeling to it. This venue is small but has everything you need for an intimate wedding. I shot here at the end of december and even in the winter season it was stunning. The reception space is the perfect size for your closest friends and family to have dinner while still leaving space for dancing the night away. The venue space has perfect spaces for you to sneak away for a first look without peering eyes while still being in an adorable area for photos. The ceremony space is also so beautiful. With a large white structure covering the whole ceremony space, shielding you from harsh rays or rain on your wedding day it is the perfect space for any time of the year.
1. Merrick Hollow (Wellston)
Merrick Hollow is both mine and Zack’s favorite venue. Its tall wooded landscaping makes you feel like you have been transported out of Oklahoma. The wooden bridge is a beautiful spot to take pictures surrounded by the greenery while not getting your dress in the dirt or shoes muddy depending on the weather. They have two ceremony options. I am a huge proponent of outdoor ceremonies due to the lighting and scenery, however, Merrick Hollow has such a beautiful reception/second ceremony area indoors that it is the only venue I would comfortably recommend the indoor option if the weather is not permitting for outdoors without compromising any of our ideal ceremony pictures that we are able to give you in an outdoor ceremony. The reception space has light wooden floors, white walls, and a big window on the main wall of that space - a photographer's dream. Whatever color is on the walls of the event space will reflect onto your skin, having a clean slate like Merrick Hollow will produce the best pictures and videos. Every part of this venue is well thought out and perfect for weddings. I have also had the privilege of being a bridesmaid at this venue, and it is just as perfect to hold a wedding at. The bride and groom’s rooms are spacious and also have great natural lighting, perfect for getting ready photos. There is only so much I can say about this venue, you just have to see it for yourself. This is our number 1 pick.
